Roland-Garros stadium was built in 1928 to allow the legendary musketeers of French tennis– Borotra, Brugnon, Cochet and Lacoste – to defend the Davis Cup, which they had won in the USA the previous year. Named Roland-Garros in reference to the hero of aviation who was the first to succeed in crossing the Mediterranean, this legendary stadium henceforth welcomed French Open offering the public an audacious and creative show each year.

BEHIND THE BRAND, A TRUE WAY OF LIFE

Roland-Garros collection was launched in 1987. Originally created to meet the needs of the tournament, it evolved into larger markets with a strong commercial potential. As a result Adidas, Peugeot, Alain Afflelou, Carré Blanc, Lacoste, Swatch and Babolat became partners. By associating with the Roland-Garros brand, they have chosen to enrich their image and sign up to our international development programme.
